Swung — 2017 Boston Baseball Hack Day Project
I conceptualized a “dating website for baseball fans” for the one-day, 2017 Boston Baseball Hack Day hackathon event, which I called “Swung — A Place for Singles to Become Doubles.” Swung won us an Honorable Mention.
In the week prior to the event, I drew up high-level wireframes and responsive layouts for the landing page, logo and icon designs, baseball-related UI features, and other ideas (shown here). During the event, which allotted about 5.5 hours of working time, several developers teamed up with me to discuss my project, define a feasible scope, pitch ideas, and work in an agile manner to produce a live, functional prototype.
I created three Axure wireframes, the Swung vector logo, and additional visual assets during the event (shown here).
And to be “Fenway frank”, we all “pitched” our fair share of baseball-dating puns, too.
Plus, we were (very) briefly mentioned on MLB.com!
